To mark the opening of the 2026–2027 academic year, the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study invites its partners, friends, and the wider public to an evening introducing its new fellows and the highlights of the season ahead, on Tuesday, September 22.

Each year, the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study welcomes researchers and artists from around the world, providing them with an environment that fosters reflection, dialogue, and academic freedom. From September onwards, six new fellows—five researchers and one artist—will join the Institute. Two additional fellows, arriving later in the academic year, will also be introduced, offering a first glimpse of the perspectives, disciplines, and questions that will shape the season ahead.

The evening will also offer a preview of the Institute's 2026–2027 programme, including conferences, talks, scientific projects, exhibitions, and other public events that will punctuate the academic year.
Conceived as an opportunity for discovery and exchange, this event invites participants to meet the fellows who will shape the Institute's life over the coming year, explore the research and creative projects they will develop, and celebrate the beginning of a new season dedicated to dialogue and the circulation of ideas.
