Terms of welcome

A range of personalized services

Resident researchers can expect a personalized welcome at the Institute, taking into account their constraints and needs from the very first stages of preparing their stay.

Once on site, they are assisted with administrative formalities (residence permit, opening a bank account, etc.).

A language assistance service is provided to facilitate exchanges between English and French speakers at seminars and conferences. Documentary resources are researched through PEB (inter-library loan) and made available by the Julien Gracq library.

Computer configuration and support are provided. For day-to-day concerns, whether technical or administrative, residents can get help from the Institute's reception desk.

Logistical assistance is also available for business trips, if required.

Architecture dedicated to the pace of research

The Institute is housed in an exceptional building on the banks of the Loire, designed specifically for its needs. Residents have access to some twenty fully-equipped individual offices, as well as a document resource center, a lounge-restaurant area with loggia, a terraced garden, an amphitheater and various meeting spaces.

In addition, the Institute has some twenty furnished and equipped apartments (studio to T4) to accommodate resident researchers, taking into account the size of their families. Located in a building adjacent to the IEA, these apartments enable researchers to come and go at any time of the day or night.
