Since 2022, the Institute has been forging close links with its associate members, who are invited to reside in Nantes on a regular basis, to carry out their research or long-term projects.
Like other resident researchers, associate members come to the Institut d'études avancées de Nantes to carry out their own research.
However, they are also involved in defining and implementing the Institute's scientific policy, for example, by taking part, according to their skills and availability, in the review of applications, contributing to intellectual exchanges within each class, and ensuring the development of the Institute's activities on particular thematic and/or geographical lines.
For this reason, associate members enter into a multi-year relationship with the Institute.
