Associate members participate in defining and implementing the Institute's scientific policy, by taking part in the review of applications, contributing to intellectual exchanges within each class, and ensuring the development of the Institute's activities along specific thematic and/or geographical lines.
For this reason, associate members enter into a multi-year relationship with the Institute. Depending on their place of residence, they may regularly stay in Nantes.
Associate members are appointed by the Management Board on the advice of the Scientific Advisory Board.
