Joëlle Zask: Democracy and ecology, incompatible?

We often hear that there would be something elitist in ecology, contrary to the desires of the majority. Or that, in order to take the ecological turn in time, it would be necessary to resort to authoritarian methods, to use the strong way. Joëlle Zask will, on the contrary, demonstrate that not only is there no contradiction between ecology and democracy, but that one does not go without the other.

Joëlle Zask is a member of the Institut Universitaire de France and teaches in the philosophy department of the University of Aix-Marseille. A specialist in John Dewey and social philosophy, she is the author of Écologie et Démocratie, published in 2022 by Premier Parallèle.
