On May 20 to 22, 2026, the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study will host the 5th International Symposium of the Red Euroamericana de Estética Contemporánea (REEC). Dedicated to the transatlantic circulations of Surrealism and its contemporary reinventions, the event will bring together scholars to explore the relationships between imagination, political critique, and territory, one century after the First Surrealist Manifesto.
