As part of the #idéesdébats series organized in partnership with Le Lieu Unique and Nantes University, Mathias Rollot will share his reflections in the Habiter, vraiment? 2024-2025 cycle.
A lecture-plea for societies oriented toward their future ecosystems rather than their past identity-based roots. After a brief history of the bioregionalist movement, we will explore some key issues of the topic before introducing practical tools to apply this local ecological knowledge in everyday life—through maps, quizzes, and more. Throughout, we will keep in mind that this sensitive approach to environments cannot be disconnected from a serious consideration of contemporary racial and colonial issues.
