The “Living within planetary boundaries: for a new territorial, urban and architectural approach” chair is launching its second call for applications for a research residency at the Nantes Institute for Advanced Studies, in partnership with the Nantes region urban planning agency, the Nantes national school of architecture, and SCE-KERAN.
Applications are due by November 17, 2024.
In October 2025, the Chair hopes to welcome its second laureate for a period of nine months, a researcher from the humanities and social sciences, physical sciences, environmental sciences, life sciences or engineering, working on issues related to urban planning, architecture and territories.
By questioning the notion of habitability, the Chair aims to promote and develop transdisciplinary, forward-looking scientific thinking that takes into account planetary limits and the need to change our lifestyles: carbon neutrality, adapting to climate change, restoring life...
Designed from the outset as a multi-faceted project, the chair's multi-year program will host three researchers in succession for an annual nine-month residency. The first recipient of the Chair, who will be based in Nantes from September 2024, is Diego Landivar.
